Toolbox Project in Brazil

Paula Gomes Barroso, a Brazilian Psychologist and Social Activist has brought Toolbox Project to a favela (slum) in her native city of Fortaleza, Brazil. In Oitão Preto drugs, crime, and broken families are rampant and Paula’s focus is to help the children of the favela, who are most at risk from constant exposure to violence and neglect. She has spent a month with the Toolbox Project team to learn about Toolbox Project, prepare Portuguese language translations of the materials with the goal of bringing Toolbox Project to local schools and safe houses in the favela.
