National Toolbox Project Trainings

The two trainings listed below are a series of trainings for educators, therapists/counselors and administrators**.

  1. Phase I gives you a general overview and introduction to Toolbox Project

  2. Phase II is a follow-up to Phase I where you will have the opportunity to go deeper into the 12 Tools and Foundation Activities (10% discount offered on your Phase II training to those who purchase a Phase I training).

**IMPORTANT: These trainings (below) will include people from all over the country. Phase I: National Toolbox Project Online Introductory Training

Are you an educator, counselor, or administrator who is interested in being introduced and trained in the Toolbox Project? In this 2.5 hour training you will have the general experience of Toolbox Project as we explore the curriculum and additional resources through our K-6 school-based model. You will also learn how to use the 12 Tools for yourself, and have access to purchase additional materials to enhance the efficacy of Toolbox Project with yourself, your students (children) and their families.

Completion of a National Toolbox Project Introductory Training will allow you the following:

  • Familiarize and begin to introduce Toolbox Project in your classroom

  • Implement Toolbox Project strategies in your professional practice

  • Order Toolbox Project Curriculum for your professional use

Please note: This training does NOT endorse or provide you with adequate support to train others in how to use Toolbox Project.

All Toolbox Project materials (Essential Toolbox and K-6 Fan Deck) will be shipped directly to you!

Phase II: Putting the 12 Tools to Work- Going Deeper into Toolbox Project

Requirements: Our Phase 1 Online Toolbox Project Introductory Training or a Toolbox Project Introductory Training through your school/district is a prerequisite for this Phase 2 Training.

In this 2.5 hour follow-up to the Introductory Phase I training, you will delve deeper into The Toolbox Project. We will begin by looking at any successes and challenges you have been experiencing in your implementation of the program so far. We will also revisit the Key Principles/Toolbox Project Way with a view to further supporting your integration of them into your classroom, daily practices and/or school as a whole. This training includes a demo of one of the 12 Tools to give you a better sense of the structure of a lesson. In small groups, you will explore introducing one of the 12 Tools that is new or less familiar to you. We will offer insights into the elements necessary for successful implementation of Toolbox Project in the first and second years, including how to engage parents and other caregivers. There will also be time to get your questions answered by our trainers. Through video, discussion with peers, participation using an interactive app, and demos, this training will increase your understanding and enhance implementation of the program, and provide strategies to sustain Toolbox Project over time.

Requirements: Our Phase 1 Online Toolbox Project Introductory Training or a Toolbox Project Introductory Training through your school/district is a prerequisite for this Toolbox Project Open Forum. Also, it would be helpful to have some experience implementing Toolbox Project in your classroom or community.

This 1.5 hour Toolbox Project Open Forum will be structured more like circle work. There will be an opportunity to explore what is working with Toolbox Project, and what has been more challenging. During this hour and a half, we will answer any questions you may have regarding the implementation of Toolbox Project.
